This session will present new, comparative data collected from state adult protective services programs including summary highlights on victims, types of abuse, alleged perpetrators, substantiation rates, and case closures. The study was conducted for NCEA by the National Adult Protective Services Association (NAPSA) and the National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (NCPEA). Importantly, where available, this study provides trends based on comparison to data collected and published in 2000.the The 2000 Survey of Adult Protective Services.
